PROJECT BENEFITS

Community
Our Positive Impacts
We started the Collective Good Foundation to amplify our ability to support communities in need. Areté is deeply committed to the value of education and access to good healthcare. Some examples of our contributions include:
- We are committed to donating over $60k to support emergency room renovations at Kahuku Medical Center
- As a Turtle Bay Foundation ‘Ilima sponsor, we had the privilege of funding a $10,000 scholarship to help make higher education dreams a reality
- We supported the Friends of Sunset Beach annual art auction, contributing to the funding of two art teachers and necessary supplies for Sunset Beach Elementary School, as art is not included in the DOE’s budget
- We supported the outstanding athletes at Kahuku High School by donating new uniforms for the girls’ volleyball team and smart helmets for the football team
community engagement
Our commitment to openly engaging with the North Shore community
Areté Collective has met with hundreds of community members and participated in dozens of meetings with environmental leaders to share details about the project but also to listen and learn.
- In August 2024, Areté Collective hosted a public open house with over 250 attendees.
- In October, we extended invitations to community members and the Ko‘olauloa and North Shore Neighborhood Board members to join a guided tour of the project site.
- Most recently in November, Areté Collective presented and answered questions at two public meetings, first at the Ko‘olauloa Neighborhood Board Planning & Permitting Committee and again at the full Ko‘olauloa Neighborhood Board.
We are committed to being good neighbors who support the North Shore community and good stewards of this cherished ʻāina. We look forward to working with you as Turtle Bay enters a new era. Please use the form below to schedule a tour of the property and learn more.
