Strengthening Community Through Partnership: Areté Collective’s Collective Good Foundation
Areté Collective was founded on the principle that development can—and should—be done sustainably, honoring the natural beauty of the land while delivering lasting value to surrounding communities. This philosophy extends beyond design and construction; it shapes how it engages with the places and people it serves.
As an extension of this mission, the Collective Good Foundation, Areté Collective’s philanthropic arm, was established to support organizations and initiatives that align with its core values. To date, the Foundation has contributed over $200,000 to local partnerships across Hawai‘i, advancing efforts that strengthen education, healthcare, the arts and community well-being.
Notable contributions include:
- Kahuku Medical Center: committed $70,000 toward emergency room renovations, helping to ensure continued access to critical healthcare services for North Shore residents.
- Turtle Bay Foundation: sponsored a $10,000 higher education scholarship for a local student and contributed rounds of golf to support the Foundation’s annual fundraising tournament.
- Friends of Sunset Beach: contributions to the organization’s annual art auction have helped fund two full-time art teachers and essential classroom supplies, enhancing arts education in local schools.
- Kahuku High School: provided new uniforms for the girls’ volleyball team and smart helmets for the football team, supporting both student-athlete safety and school pride.
Through the Collective Good Foundation, Areté Collective continues to invest in partnerships that reflect its enduring commitment to responsible development and community stewardship. By supporting local institutions and initiatives, the company reinforces its belief that a resilient future is built not only through the places it develops, but through the lives it helps uplift.
